Get your sanding hands down here & I'll teach you. :-laf

Very NICE!!!

Last car I painted was a 68 Plymouth Satellite. :-laf About 20 years ago.
I shot it with a real nice metallic blue. Came out good.
It was a polyurethane enamel with a hardener.
I hope you have a good mask. I was pretty out of it for a day or two even though I had one.

You've picked one of my favorire colors - do you plan on any work in the frame/suspension - at least what you can reach - while the bed is off? Have you done a trial fit and adjustment of the nifty hood?

I am hitting the frame with wire wheels, then coating it with Picklex, then rustoleum with corrosion protection. It does look pretty rusty in the pics, but it really isn't too bad. I haven't bolted the hood on yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. I've heard nothing but good things about streetpro hoods fitment.

I was very close to buying one of their hoods like yours a while back - they had a very good deal on them on Ebay - but heard talk that they actually need quite a bit of prep work for proper fit and finish. Sure nothing wrong with the finish on yours - hope the fit goes as well... :)

I had about 20 hours of blocking, priming, blocking in that hood. It was really wavy.

Remind me again that all this work will be worth it in the end, because right now this truck looks like SH!^! Today I sanded the entire passenger side rocker to bare metal & coated with Picklex. Then I removed the hood, cowl cover, rad support & drivers side doors. I removed all the sill plates, weatherstripping & got the drivers side jamb ready to sand tomorrow. The truck looks like a parts truck now.
