you do realize that once it's done, everytime you pull into a parking lot you'll be looking for a spot a mile away where there are no cars around to ding you, or worse, someone stealing it. the fun of owning a vehicle like that

I know, been thinking of that. I have full coverage & a Smarty. I'll just set the Smarty anti theft every time I park it at the mall. They can start it, but no go..... by that time, I'll be at my truck with my pistol. ;)

That is me. I park in the back forty and take up to spots, sometimes there is no way around it and you have to park next to another car. As far as stealing, well if they can get it started they can have it.

Cummins724, Very, Very nice work !! I'm usually partial to Blues and Silver/Gray's but that copper color you chose is awesome. Thanks for posting all the pictures, I'm enjoying following your progress. Somewhere I missed what your color plans were for the two-tone at the lower rocker panels and up over the wheel wells, just curious.
Regards, Mike.

Thank you very much Mike. Feels good getting compliments after all of the hard work. :-laf The rockers are getting sprayed with Line-x, probably black, but I'm still undecided. I may get color matched line-x.

With that fabulous color and that great work, get the color matched Line-X. One other option from this arm chair truck stylist... paint the rockers and flares a dark gray or charcoal metallic. Your truck will rock either way!!

Love that color and thank you for posting all along the way!

Louis

Thanks man. I thought about charcoal colors, but at the time I was gonna use the stock chrome bumpers. I'll get some pics up today for you guys. ;)

Truck looks good though. One hint for you, let the paint cure at least three weeks or more before doing the Line-X. Not sure if all installers use the same tape as mine but it is some tough tape. Some sort of wire tape which can pull paint off, it did on mine and I had a 4 week cure time. They told me that even trucks straight off dealers lots have had paint peel. I think they use it due to its ability to cut through the Line-X to create a smooth straight line. Not trying to scare you or anything just talk to your installer and they can tell you more.

If it is available as I said before go for the Line-X Xtra, it is worth the extra money as it is guaranteed to not fade. It will always be shiney and all you need is a soft brush to clean it to keep it looking good.

I'd wanna kill him. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm in the rust capital of the world here guys. I just replaced every panel on this truck. I'm definately getting Line-x.
