So the new crank seal is installed, but will have to do it again very soon since the one that finally made it in the cover might have gotten torn a bit and potentially fixed with permatex from the inside... darn teflon seals.
Anyways, crank seal does not leak anymore (for the moment) and now to chase the next leak. The oil pan has always had this mist type of leak around the bell housing side of it so I figure it's time to replace it. Question is, can the pan be pulled without major muscle work of supporting the motor and whatnot... aka is the front cross member in the way? I'm thinking the pan can be lowered enough to slide a new gasket in...
