I am looking around for different tires and I came across these. I like the way they look but I am trying to find out load range on them. Does anyone know anything about them?

The sizes I am interested in are :

33x12. 50R16LT
36x14. 50R16LT
38x15. 50R16LT

Of course this is after the lift #ad
Although I might try the 33's before the lift to see how they ride and sound and perform. After the lift the 36's look very appealing to me.

Any one got any comments?

<font color=blue>Finally found some decent info!

Dirt Grip

SIZE--LoadRange--SectionWidth--TreadWidth--RimWidth--OutsideDiameter
31 x 10. 50R - 16 C 14. 4 12. 25 10-12 36. 125
33 x 12. 50R - 16 C 12. 4 10. 40 8. 5-11 33. 30
35 x 12. 50R - 16 C 12. 4 10. 40 8. 5-11 33. 30
36 x 14. 50R - 16 C 14. 5 12. 25 10-12 36. 125

Is load range C enough to handle the weight of the Cummins???? I don't tow or haul anything.....

I really would like the 36's after I get the lift kit. <font size=-2>

<font color=blue>When I am done with the engine and transmission, I am going after a 4. 5" Skyjacker Suspension lift. Although I have heard of a 5" SuperLift coming out too.

I haven't decided which lift yet really, just know I want 4 to 5" of lift and 35 to 37" of tire under it.

I got a while to decide because I am finishing up the engine this month, so no funds for anything else just yet.....

Katdiesel,

I'd be interested in hearing about your decision on those PJs. I had to make the same decision and decided to go with Super Swamper Radials. in 36 x 12. 5 x 16. One or two have posted to say they've had bad experiences, and the C load rating is marginal for a Cummins (2600 lbs for the Swamper). I don't tow, my loads will generally be light, and I need the aggresssive mud tread, so I decided to go with the Swampers. If you go to a 16. 5" wheel, SuperSwamper has tires rated for a much higher load. I wanted to keep my stock 16 x 8s, though.

I haven't heard about a 5" lift from Skyjacker. I just ordered the 4. 5" stage II kit. It's hard to imagine that half an inch would be worth a different kit. I think the difference in how your truck is equipped would make more than the difference in kits.

The 5" I was refering to is from SuperLift, it says due out Feb 2001 for Dodge &frac34; tons. I don't have any other info on it yet. I think Tuff Country also has a lift available but not sure. I have been thinking the SkyJacker 4. 5" all along... just trying to see what else is out there.

I am tempted to order the 31 x 10. 50R - 16 just to try them since they will fit nocely on the 16x8 stock rims. WOuld like to try the 33's but afraid 12. 50 might be too wide for the 8" rims, I'll have to do some research on the subject matter.

I just like the way the tires look to be honest, and just wondering if anyone has tried them yet. They look like a nice compromise between all out M/T and a A/T.

Try Tuff Country, the price is less and the quality is there. I would reccomend the D. T. products trac bar with either Tuff Country or Skyjacker. My Tuff Country drop bracket for the trac bar snapped and I saw a Skyjacker kept coming loose. I think the powdercoating is thick and as it wears where it mounts, it loosens up. I got D. T. s track bar and the difference is night and day, I would buy it again even if I didn't have any problems, very beefy and strong. C rated tires are fine if you don't tow, but if you tow much more than an atv trailer, BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!! It only took about 600mi. of towing my 9800lbs. Weekend Warrior to have tread separation on both rear Ground Hawg radials(rated at 3160lbs each) All of my suspension and tires will be for sale soon due to Whiplashes 10" suspension kit now available. I want 40's so I'll be going UP some more real soon. Good luck!!!
