I ordered a set of new Bosch 275 RV injectors. I received those and they are individually wrapped. I was assured they were pressure tested and ready to go as a set. I just want to be sure that I have the correct part in my hands first.

Here are the numbers on them (they have the Bosch logo):

0432193635 939 882 4183

on the tip 820

I bought those from one of the most well-known shops mentioned on TDR and in the diesel performance crowd.

I was told there were no other parts needed to do the change. I just want to be sure before I take the truck to have those installed.

Thanks.

Ilian

I just cut & pasted this note out of my archives. . (This was the numbering that was on the RV275's that I had very good luck with. - They came packaged in the individual genuine Bosch boxes).

They seem to look pretty close to yours. .

"0432193 635 (939) 683 4183 (4184 on top)"

Let us know how they work out for you.....

Thank you guys. It looks like I have the correct part number.

I will let you know how those work for me.

What should I expect? I sure do not want more smoke. It will be nice a better fuel mileage. A bit more power is a bonus if it is noticeable at all.

Ilian

I have an 01 HO with a Bully Dog and RV275's. Pulling I get about 3 tenths better mileage. Good luck with the smoke. When shifting make sure you are above 1500 RPM after the shift or you will have plenty of smoke. The heavier the foot the more the smoke. They say you pick up about 40 horses and I can feel them kick in going up hills. Good luck!

I LOVE my combo of RV275s and Edge EZ/boost elbow. With the Edge on max. setting, the ONLY way I get any smoke that I can see is by rapidly flooring the throttle from near idle or barely moving when under a heavy load, and only one little puff at that. Otherwise, I would say they are pretty smoke free, and a very good injector choice without going nuts. :D

Just take your time, learn and have fun doing the install (if you haven't done it before). That's half the game.

It will go well. Remember as a ritual on each one, to double-check that the connector tube has been pulled back about a half-inch before you pull up on the injector, same with pressing the new ones in place. A small "panel-driver" screwdriver works great for "carefully" prying them back.

Torque the 5/16 (8mm) hold down bolts to 89 in/lbs, and #2, 5, & 6 injector tube connector nuts to 28-29 ft/lbs and call 'em good. Leave 1, 3 & 4 just finget ticht, almost finger-loose. Double-check everything.

Bump the lift pump and let 'er run a few cycles so you get the bulk of the air out. Bump it again and tighten the nuts while the lift pump is running. Torque them the same as the others.

Hold the pedal about 1/4-1/2 and start cranking. Sometimes they fire up after about 3-4 seconds of cranking, sometimes they are more stubborn, just dont crank more than 15 seconds at a time so the starter isnt overheated. If it didn't start on the first try, wait a minute, talk to her, and it should start in about 5-10 seconds on the next shot. It'll be rough and smoke for a minute, then should be game over. Check for fuel leaks at the connector tubes, and around the valve cover, especially at the back - fun reaching back there. .

Doublecheck the torque values first, as I just spitted em out without verifying.

Good Luck and they are a great choice of injectors (besides these mach 2's of course : )

Sorry, just realized you mentioned someone else is doing the install. ,. Good Luck!

Yes, they are. Big thanks to you Bob. It is so much different. Maybe the new injectors and the valve adjustment that Bob did too make a big difference. The truck is so much more responsive, it feels much more powerful, smooth and peppy. I did not expect much difference, just better mpg, but I'm so much more surprised. EGT are down at least 150*. Overall really happy. No more smoke than stock for sure. I guess my stock injectors were quite dirty/"carbonated":-laf. I'll post calculated mpg soon.

:cool:I kind of figured you would enjoy the 275's. Too many people think you have to have 400+hp to enjoy the CTD's.

Sorry I missed your call this afternoon. I was under an 07 doing the full Mag hytec upgrade.

Hey, this is the perfect scenario. . Gotta love it when everybody is happy. :D

Yeah, It's cost more than one or two dreamers a lot of dough buying expensive "trinkets" to learn one simple lesson. . Just do what "Bob" says. He is afterall, the great "Cummins Spirit Healer" His healing energy is so profound that all I had to do was "park" close to the already anointed "cArNiVaLWoRkEr MoBiLe" and mine started running smooth as glass again, and as an added bonus, she has been so much more nice to me ever since. I even took a video of her tach idling steady as a rock last week, because it was so beautiful to see at 165k miles. On biodiesel even. Now, just gotta figure how to rotate the cruddy quality video and post it the right way. http://75.140.70.182/pj/pj1/Vid/Idle_Mach2s_165k_Miles.3g2

ILIANBG, Glad you were able to hook up with the guru and those injectors will make that rig run how it should have come from the factory. :)

So, How are those injectors working out? I'm curious if you have seen any mileage increase. I know they run well.

They were my favorites next to these F1's.

Prout,

I am very happy with the injectors. The actual hand calculated mileage is up by 1 mpg for sure. At last check it was 1. 6, but I want to be sure so I'll have to burn quite a few gallons more. Maybe it's the combination of valve adjust and the injectors, that Bob did.

I'll post again.

Alright! Glad to hear it. You made good choices on that deal. . Thanks for the follow up.

I'm also doing well with these M2's. It is getting as high as it has ever done (about the same as the 275's), and runs real nice doing it. They both are excellent choices.

Hey Phil, what kind of clutch do you use? You have a Smarty and the Mach 2, I heard with those the stock clutch will not last.

Yes, I'm really happy with my choice as you are with yours.
