I've done some searches and found out that I can buy the tow (flip out) mirrors in a set/package deal cheaper than they can be bought individually. I called my friendly dodge dealer and they don't know anything about a package deal.

Those of you that have purchased them to put on yourself, do you have a dodge part number I can give this guy? What did you have pay?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the info Thomas,

I called the dealer, they said $299 + 6% tax.

I like the sound of $196 allot better.

You just saved me $100.

Thanks again.

They make an electric?:)

Electric would be better but I'll stettle for the manual if I have to.

My current mirrors are electric, but I guess I don't really move them around very much so I can live without it.

Just installed these electric towing mirrors on my truck, Love them. Way more movement that my old manual towing mirrors AND I don't have to get out of the seat to do it. Am selling a cheap set of 2001 tow mirrors and 2003 bases if you want them.

Check out this link for stock electric tow mirrors. It will take the average mechanic 8 hours for the conversion, and don't ask your dealer to do it: http://www.klenger.net/dodge/heated-towing-mirrors.html

Tow mirrors

My left side mirror just got whacked by a rock from an oncoming semi. Price of new replacements is outrageous, IMO. If anyone has a set laying around, I'd like to purchase the left side, or both if the price is right. Thanks.

Bees are a good reason not to stick your head out the window with your dog at high speeds.

Your side view is another.

Best one was when a piece of big rig tread was flipped up off the highway and took out the side view on one of the pickups in our convoy of trucks and trailers of wild elk relocations from Alberta to Tennessee. That would have really hurt the dog.

Vaughn, If you use the earlier picture in the post, the mirror flips up using the far outboard of the arm as the pivot. As the mirror sits virtical, the arm pivot is the inboard side of the mirror. It sits 13. 25 inches off the glass of my driver's door. Hope this helps.
