Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) part# of new&improvedcummins lift pump?

my engine is pretty much stock so i just run the carter lift pumps new one every 2 years or so, i read somewhere that there is an improved version available from cummins for our trucks but no one here in Atlantic canada seems to be familiar with it ,can anyone tell me the cummins part#? thanks

The new pump was part of a kit from cummins for fire trucks and school buses etc. It has an internal by pass to prevent restriction of fuel to the vp-44. Cummins part no. for the pump is 4932707 and kit no. 4090046. The kit was offered for limited time at 70. 00. Hope this helps you out.

I just put one on my 2002. I got it from an independent shop, not Cummins, so I don't know if they got it from Cummins or not. Anyhow, the box says Alliant Power part #AP4943048. You will lose at least 1PSI. That part# may cross reference to a Cummins #.

Transfer Pump

I just bought a Transfer pump for my 2001 from Cummins West in Sacramento. The p/n was 4943048 and the brand was Carter.
