Competition Florida Dyno Day jan 10th

Off Roading Score Laughlin Race 24th and 25th Caravan

Well before you make a total fool of me for my words...

I've watched nopi. I've watched diesel trucks drag. I agree that the power is impressive. They don't match what the other classes have already achieved. That's all that I meant.

And if you still disagree. Compare the times of our own diesel drag racer with the times being laid down at nopi. Am I missing something? All that was meant was we aren't in a situation where we can compare these engines to a top fuel racer. It was futile.

I'm glad that young enthusiasts have the likes of yourselves to deal with as they work their way in amongst you. It's really... encouraging.

So, which is the better sport? Drag racing or sled pulling? I still haven't heard the answer to that one. Maybe the dyno kings will vote, too!

All of you keep pushing the envelope in YOUR chosen arena, we'll benefit from the results (as long as you share it!) down here in the pits of daily driving and towing trucks.

That's why I bought mine. I can Drag race IT, I can drag a sled, And I can haul whatever I can fit in the bed past the legal speed limit and drive up a mountain to kick back and sip some juice and relax at the end of the day. They just make well rounded machines. We need a cummins triathalon. Drag sled, Drag track and run an offroad course all in one day.

No more dyno/sled queens. Drive to and from the competition.

Try not to laugh so hard at me this time. And my name is Kyle. (aka "That Guy")

Sounds like fun but I don't sled pull anymore. I did it once and it broke the truck to the tune of ~$1500 and a lost nights sleep getting home.

I tend to trailer to events far away for logistical reasons. If it breaks I want a ride home ;):D

Every time I get over an afternoon drive away something breaks and I spend too much time in inclimate conditions fixing it, then driving home. I prefer to take it back to MY shop and fix it at my leisure.

Murphy's Law revised for accuracy: If it can happen, it will happen to ME!!! :-laf

Good point, Gene. The off-road racing videos are AWESOME! I was down at San Felipe in Feb this year for the 250, too bad the KORE/BANKS truck wasn't there. :(

OK, so the ONLY trailer option is if it breaks at the event. Isn't that why we all have friends in low places (with mild trucks and no ego to inflate)? Drag our busted rigs home after the big show!

I understand that completely. Had my arse drug home all too many times over breaks.

So street legal rather than trailered??? All factory equipment in-tact. I would watch it. IT would make a good event at a jamboree.

Oh well time to let this thread kill off now that it's thoroughly away from it's beginning. :)

Street leagal is good. Do it like a HotRod street shootout with a 50-75 mi cruise as part of the event... in July. You don't have to have air conditioning but you'll surely want it :D.

Not to jinx the system, but Cal is one state that still has ZERO diesel smog checks for these trucks. You may get a smoke ticket if you cloud the wrong vehicle, but no annual checks... yet

Let me rephrase that. Factory Systems. Modifications allowed. Just no stripping things down.

Cruise what!?!? If I didn't know any better i'd think you single my posts out to poke at. .
