Competition Dyno update w/DD3's

Just get gauges, and a PE COMP, and your all set to whip up on D-Max's, and POSD's (Maybe a clutch to if it's on it's way out. )



The Cummins is one good Bang-for-the-buck Motor.

The ford boys have chips just as hot as your comp:eek: You may end up :--) when you race one, there are some that fly. Beware is all I am saying.
 
LOL... Merrick, I have even heard that, if you leave the PE comp. on the counter before you hit the rack, you will wake to a fully prepared breakfast ;) . JK, love my Edge EZ and wouldn't trade it for my MIL. Speaking of the MIL (mount)... why is it hard to commit to ??? After the addition of those giant smokepoles, any other exterior mods. are secodary for sure. I'm thinking that we need to contact Autometer and have them build you a FP gauge housed in one of those 6" tach. units, then maybe someone will notice it on the MIL mount :--) .

I can't seem to bring my self to do three things.



Figure out exactly where to mount it.

Go out and actually BUY the gauge

Actually,, I have been talking to Stefan K. and I am selling my DD1 injectors (asking $300 sound fair?) I am going to go to DD3's and the New Diesel Dynamics Turbo, and Nitrous.



For the MIL mount I am going to run a 2 5/8" 0-15 (0-16)PSI Fuel pressure gauge, and a 2 5/8" 0-16000 PSI Nitrous Gauge. Both will be white faced. (Fast and the Furious come to mind??)



I still need to talk to Stefan K. a little more,, but by me going with DD3's and nitrous it will turn out to be either slightly more expensive or the same price as Supermentals,, but I won't be killing my injection pump so fast. I am WOT way tooo often. :D If I ran with Supermentals,, I would break something,, I'd be using all the power everyday. With Nitrous I have to turn on "the bottle" before I can use all the power.

So on goes the Saga of BOMBing my ride. Whaddya think?? Sound good?





Andrew,, No I had not seen that dyno graph before. I went to the Power Edge Products site, and the first time I saw the dyno graph I linked up a picture in my message.

I hope to have my B1 and injectors in this weekend. We have very similar trucks. . I have an extra gear and drive axle though.



I hope to be over 430hp (450???) on #2.



I'm putting in the DDIIIs and have a PE Comp. SlowKurt, Yogi and CumminNtStrokin are able to tow at 430, 350+, and 4xxHP respectively.



I'd just like to see you get the utimate setup.

Mark,, I'll talk to Stefan a little more and see what's u.

I don't know what the DD turbo is,, But I know it's not a '40



It's supposed to be able to make a little more boost, and do it a little cooler than the B-1, it also comes with a Downpipe for about the same price of a B-1.



I was gonna drop the Big Kahuna's on a B-1 along with BD-5's, Pusher pump, more gauges etc.



I like KWIKKURT, and his turbo is good,, but as competition goes,, someone has to make a little better product. (Chevy D-Max 300HP,, '03 Cummins H. O. 305 HP) Isn't that how the world turns.



I'm calling Stefan and see what's up,, get some hard facts. LOL, I don't even know if Anybody is supposed to know about this turbo :eek: Stefan said I would get the first run of turbo's, his 1st, then mine.



I'l post back and put up some knowledge I will learn. (Everytime I call Stefan He teaches me something, LOL)

I hope to be about 450HP with the PE COMP DD3's DD's Turbo. That should hover around ~450RWHP with a 100HP Nitrous Kit that should be around 550HP. I'm shooting for high 500's on the dyno, 375 for towing, 450 for street, and 550 for drags.

You plan on going to any Events? I am seriously thinking about going to Muncie, and hangin' with Andrew. Lets see if I can get away from the House. LOL

The only thing have planned is the Dyno day in Tulsa. Nothin Else YET. I'm not planning on anything other than mild propane for economy. I want hp on #2 only.



I'd like to get up to 500 w/o drugs.
 
I want 500 on #2 alone also, and 600 with NOS. Merrick, quit playing with that 550 on NOS, and get to Munice!!! :p

you read it right....

We will be staying in his camper at least. The dates are June 8,9 I think. On the way to, or from, I want to go through Memphis to see Graceland. :D



I'll PM you with more details later about when I think I'll leave and all that jazz. Let me know if you want more now.

P. S. $300 for those DD1's? I remember how much you paid for them. ;) Maybe if you have you new ones by then, we could thorw them in mine for now. :p

Go for it,, but if you smoke your transmission don't Say DTT didn't tell you so, LOL



I'd be more than willing to sell them to you, maybe we could park our trucks side by side and I could put in DD3's while you put in my old 1's.



I only lost 2MPG in town (Driving WFO 24/7) combining my PE COMP and DD1's

I did pick up one or two miles per gallon on the highway driving "Normal" But I can't drive normal,, so, the MPG is the same,, but the truck is ALOT Faster.

Or,, The Truck is ALOT, TON, WAYY faster and I lost 2MPG. I still get over 14MPG (All in town, no highway)

Merrick I ran on the Dyno this weekend and hit 377/891 before the B1.



Follow the links in the sig... 377. 5hp 891. 4 ftlb Dyno sheets plus a B1 and a slipping Clutch



I was a blast after the B1. I have no doubt that I have 440+hp and TONS or torque:D :D :D
 
So Mark, we're not gonna see any dyno numbers til April? I hope you hit real close to 450 so I know my goal is realistic! Do you have any fuel system upgrades? Pusher pump, banjo bolts, larger hoses, etc?
 
I tink most of the texas guys were there and a few others when merrick got those injectors installed. Just let the engine come to a full and complete stop before cracking the injector lines... LOL. We might have to call upon Dean for his help. Hey Mark, what would it take to get a ETH to 450hp on #2 only? I figured a HOT PE comp and stage 3 injecors with a good turbo. Let me know whats up.
