The EZ went into my otherwise stock truck over the weekend (on default setting "3"). Here are my impressions:

- 4mpg higher almost immediately
- more power overall, but not a giant increase. acceleration increased for quick passing was nice.
- I can dump a little black smoke by hard acceleration around 1600-1800rpm. That's always fun.

So, I like it, and I can't wait to tow with it. #ad

(And I must NOT go out and get injectors now! agh)

Dunno. It peaked at 4mpg above my max. I had never seen my truck over 21mpg on the highway running about 2200rpm. 75/80mphish. The highest mpg I got was 25mpg, which slowly dropped. It's now at 23. 4, but my "usual" average is 19. 2, so it's still quite a difference.

Or maybe my truck was just inspired by meeting all those other BOMBed guys for the Iowa dyno runs. #ad

Yep- What Kurt said ^^^

The computer lies to you. Figure it out doing the math, and you'll get a different answer.

I got NO increase in mpg with the EZ in #3, but I DID get +1. 5 mpg in the #2 position. When you keep your foot out of it! #ad

Oh! Well, I'll go do the math, then...

I thought the MPG reading was based on the last 5 gallons used from the tank. Maybe my memory sucks.

Is the mile-till-"empty" reading going to be lying too, then? I figure it's based on MPG and the fuel sender info.

From what I can tell from my experence and others the cpu is about 2. 5mpg higher then actual numbers. After about 10 tanks of testing it works out to deduct 2. 5mpg it comes out almost everytime.

Mmmmm... are the mileage readings from the computer or manually calculated. If from the computer, you may be seeing the same artificial increase most do after BOMBing. I suspect that the computer uses the throttle position sensor to calculate a "known quantity" of fuel being delivered at each position. With additional fueling at any given position, more fuel is going in than the computer thinks, hence the increase. Just a theory at this point...
