Looking for some information from members that have installed the EZ. I did not pay much attention to my idle RPM's prior to the install but currently with the box my truck idles at 800. I have read post that say improved idle and so forth but is this about right? It has seemed to increase some but as far as a smoother idle I cant say yet untill I get some more time in the truck. Also I was wondering about the smoke or lack of when I take off under a moderately heavy throttle. According to the literature provided with the box it is set on the #3 setting which should smoke in that condition. Am I missing something----need advice from a fellow TDR member-------Many Thanks... ... ... Steve.

Some are actually set on the #2 jumper from factory contrary to what the paperwork says. Take off the coverplate and see what's up. If you don't have injectors or anything else added it should be on #3.

When I installed an EZ on my truck I didn't get any smoke unless I stood on the go pedal from a dead stop (no boost). Even then I had to turn my mirror down towards my exhaust outlet to see anything.

Now as for the idle, seems that the folks that gwt improved idle are the ETH guys. I may be wrong but just seems like what I can remeber reading. Anyway just my $. 02 worth.

I had the 275's with the EZ and you could get some smoke if you full throttle at low boost/low rpm. I do not think it is a good idea to go hard on the fuel pedal below 1600 rpm. If nothing else it Hammers the drivetrain.
