The settings are there for you to customize where you want the fuel to be added, I believe (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). Mine has never been changed since new(first setting), which is the most aggressive as it adds fuel earlier rather than later. This relates to the boost reading. If you go with bigger injectors rather than stock, a change of the EZ settings may reduce smoke somewhat(less fueling at lower boost readings). With mine on the first setting and with stock injectors I have a small amount of black smoke when I really hammer it from a stop. If I went with larger injectors(and I am) I would probably have to move the jumper setting back to 2 or 3 to reduce the smoke and add the fueling after the boost is up. That's my take on the EZ, again, if I'm incorrect, soemone please chime in.
