dustoff,
In answer to your question: "Has anybody thought of a class action lawsuit", the answer is yes... I am picking my truck up tomorrow night from my dealer, after many days of non warranty work, and will probably pay thousands of $$. Will not know until the moment I get at the dealers. So I asked "What is to prevent this from happing again?" His answer was, "The mechanic left it out". I thanked him for that answer. I also have asked if there is a TSB out on the dowel pin problem yet, and the answer is of course NO!
I also contacted Cummins and DC today and basiclly they said "Too bad, so sad, your dad". Oh by the way... They both said that they were VERY familiar with the TDR, so I invited them to log on and start reading some of the threads pertaining to the "Killer Dowel Pins".
I'm not stopping there... I am going for Consumer Protection Agency, State Attorney
General, Better Business Bureau and anybody else that will receive Email, letters, or phones calls, and will document all correspondence.
Do we have any attorneys out there in TDR land??? I could use some help/direction on where to go and who best to talk with.
Later, Probe
