Wow $33 is cheap enough to experiment with! Thank you. Can any Dodge dealer order that? I plugged the number into a few places online but it didn't bring anything up, I'm not surpised though. SRT-10 parts are probably not in very high demand I will do some checking around and keep everyone informed. I'd really like to find a way to make these work.

Keep in mind that the $33 is cost... you should expect at least 20% over cost on a mopar part, I think



And my next step is to get a SRT-10 lower shifter part, cut it off and some how attached it to my lower threaded part (if there is one)



I am going home tonight and taking apart my stock one to see where we can work this in

All you would need to do is buy a coupling nut (long nut) that is big enough to retap for the thread that the shifter linkage uses. I am not sure exactly what it is, but BD should know as they make the short shift kit with the same thread. I think it is 14 or 15mm x 1. 5. Once it is re-tapped, just cut off that square piece and weld it on the end. The only difference may be length and the hole size in the boot that covers the shifter linkage.

It doesn't look like it would be difficult to get one fastened in there. If you dont mind tomeygun, take another picture of what the NV5600 one is like so we can try and compare the to. Even if it is different where theres a will theres a way to make stuff work :-laf

They should, its only the pad --- Part# 5140906AA ("DEC" trans code) -- I would have to look up the throttle pedal pad -- But I think that would be a super easy mod



EDIT -- this should be the throttle pedal for the SRT-10 -- 5140907AA

Let us know how it turns out! Does the whifter have a bend to it? If not, you could get your machine shop to make that adapter offset a little to bring the shifter closer to the driver.



Would the dealership let you pull of the pedals to try them on your rig?

When you are done "SRT"ing your trucks, I made up a logo for stickers too!! (I have a better quality one if anyone wants)

for the logo part [at least the srt part] the crossfire can be had as an srt version, and sports the srt-6 in that trim... the srt-6 badging could look nice on the tailgate tucked away in a low corner with no other badging there...

And I got the ONLY shifter that was in stock in the national depot- HA!!

can you get a pic of the shifter you got alone on so we can all see it from end to end to see the bend you are worried about?



what's the thread/pitch on the end for the knob?

is that shifter stock steel or alloy?



i am going to the dealer on thursday for a P0107 but i may need to kill a little time in the parts department tinkering with that parts list...

The bend will be a problem, as the stock diesel one does not have the bend... My addapter will have incorporate a bend to correct, I suppose



PS- the factory boot may not work, because of the needed height to cover the adapter

Grind off those two bolts that are tacked in there and take that big bracket off. Then just make a small adapter to use those two holes and weld it to a coupling nut tapped with the right thread for the shift lever.



What is the length of the shifter compared to the length of the stock one? What is the length of the stock one sticking out of the boot?

The stocker from the tip to the bottom where it threads - 17 inchs

The SRT-10 one is about 14. 5 inches from tip to tip



I just bought the stock shifter lever for a test one, (ony $20)

I think I will hack it off at the top and then weld a piece to it at an angle, like on the right side of the hacked-short lever

that should get the angle right and some height too

I have been playing with Visio at work for something else and found the templates for mechanical drawings! Its fun to kill time on stuff like this.



I can't wait to see the finished product! I have my stock shifter bent closer to me (about 6") but I think this would look a lot better! I had to weld the base of the stock shifter once it was bent because it would twist the rubber damper when trying to shift which may it feel funny. Its solid now



Would that srt knob fit on the stock shifter (does it have the same thread) ???
