James - I'll bet that ring just fell out on it's own!

About the date, I bought in early! , or it's the VCR thing, can't set, so forget it!

Will take requests too, so if you want to know what something looks like, just ask and I will post as soon as I can.

if you have time, could you snap a high rez picture of the center of the dash where the radio and hvac controls are? i am toying with the idea to mount gauges where the radio is [along with some switches] since i am not sure if i want a pillar mount gauge setup.

White faced gauges?

Are white faced gauges the standard now? Or can you still order them with a black background?

I'm just not sure how much I like the white backgrounds... although they do match nicely with the white Autometers.

oil filter

Looks like removing the air intake from the turbo will make changing the oil filter no more/less difficult than on the 2nd gen. What you REALLY need to watch is making sure your shoes don't bump the air conditioner evaporator coil when you are standing on the bumper.

Hey JW,

Congrats on the new truck. Glad you are enjoying it. Mine is on a railway car somewhere between Mexico and Canada.

Has anyone found a 800 number that works in Canada for tracking a truck in transit? Cheers.

The gauges are essentially white only in daylight. At night, thy look just like 2md gens with the backlit green markings and red needles. My dad's 01 Grand Caravan Sport has the same gauges, and you can't tell they're white at night.

Casey,

I've been using the U. S. number. It works great.

Ken:)

Somewhere between Mexico and Canada huh? I was stuck in traffic on I-35 here in Austin yesterday, right behind a carrier with 5 new Cummins powered Rams loaded on it. 3 of them were 4x4, 2 were not. Maybe one of them was yours, eh Casey?

BTW, I snapped a few pics of them from inside my truck, being developed right now...

Nice truck J. W. Good pics also. I like the 4" outlet on the turbo,So maybe a b-1 may fit in there with no modifications right;) . Or how long before somebody puts one of those variable tuned turbos in,just some various thoughts and ramblings on future Bombing ideas. Not that we would ever modify these trucks . I'm going to get one in a couple of years but I want to pay off my 99 first. Keep it and then BOMB THE H*LL out of it :) ... Doug

Re: Re: Re: oil filter

Keep an eye out. It is ALL black. Looks just like the 4x2 dually pulling the boat in the Chyrsler press release, except mine has trailer mirrors. By the way the US tracking number works in Canada too. Thanks for that info Ken. Lady at Chrysler says it left Loredo on September 7. Looks like it is a few days ahead of schedule but I am not complaining. Grin is getting bigger. :D :D :D
