... he may have left the building, but his spirit and enthusiasm are still here. Piers, you and your crew have helped me in more ways than I can count, and your team is on top of the guys I trust for diesel performance and advice.

Thank you for the help and dedication to the cause.

Enjoy the time away and we'll see you on the road. Keep 'em smokin'!

I haven't dealt with PDR much, yet, but I've been impressed by their offerings for the 1st gen trucks. If Piers Harry is who I have to thank, then thanks! :D :D :D

Truley a sad loss to us but I say if he wants a change then he should go for it! Good luck to Harry, a true fine fellow to deal with and if he buys a fish camp then we should all show up and fish with him. :)

Piers, just in case you read this thread... .

Good luck in your retirement! Hope to see you at this years Diesel Thunder!

Thanks for the help when I stopped there in summer 05. I'm still enjoying the PDR mods to the truck.

Have fun and all the best. DBF

Well guy's I've kind of held off on comments till I had a chance to think about this.....

I'll comment now, as an end user of products/services in the diesel sport and, NOT as a moderator or TDR official spokesperson...

The sentiments expressed so far are exactly the way I feel as well... ...

I told Piers that in my opinion he "had a gift" when it came to this stuff and, I hoped that once he had some hammock time we might see him in one form or another down the road.

Piers put up with my poking and prodding him constantly about 1st Gen stuff and he never once 'turned to nip my fingers' as he likely could have done on more than one occasion.

I'm personally grateful to him for his friendship and loyalty which sadly seems in short supply these days it seems... ... .

If there was "a bullet headed your way" he didn't stand behind you, he stood beside you... . a class act period !!

Piers chose to have similar people around him as well... . Harry, Mark and the guys in the shop all have the same attitude about "us guys out here in the world" although I don't think Harry will be able to tolerate my highly refined skills of nagging and ragging like Piers did... ... . ;);):D

Seriously though, Harry has also been good to us 1st Gen guy's (he drives a nice green 1st Gen with PDR Twins) as well. He know's that there's a "finger shaking" coming if he don't look after us old time guy's and he doesn't want to end up being excommunicated from "the church"... ;)

I had the very great priviledge of being associated and, working with all of those folks and I can tell you that long after the "close of business" there were/are converstations about how/what we can do for 'our customers'.

They managed to find things for me to do and kept me busy till my health required my stepping aside so someone could take over and put in full days/weeks with long hours. For that I'll always be grateful.

You fellow's didn't have the opportunity to see/hear the conversations that happened behind the scenes... . it seems that all PH ( I call him "PH") wanted to be sure of was that the "customer got a good deal at a fair price" or it wasn't going to happen... .

Finally, Harry and Mark are digging in and still working on behalf of all the PDR customers including us 1st Genners so keep them in mind if you need help.

Join with me and wish PH the best and, express your views if you're inclined.

Well, that's it, I don't want to step on any lines or rules about cheerleading but I did want to join in with you guys and let out a bit of steam.

My personal thanks, appreciation and, gratitude to PH for his friendship and unquestioning loyalty. That also goes for someone who is often overlooked and that is Piers' wife Louise, thank you both!

OH !!! ... ... . If he does go into running a fishing lodge, bring your own fish cause Harry has told me PH can't fish worth a spit... ... he's sorta "scale challenged" so to speak... :-laf

I just returned from a 4600 mile trip to have work done at PDR. Piers has left the shop in good hands, and it still seems like family!!!

As much as we all love Piers and Louise, they have other things to do and you can bet that whatever they choose to do,they will be very succesfull at it!!!!!

I too made a 3000+ mile round trip to meet Piers and have him work on my 12 valve. I’m not a crazy bomber but took great satisfaction in having what work I had done completed by PDR. This trip and meeting Piers was with out a doubt my coolest experience related to my truck. I did realize along the way (and it wasn’t that far out of town!) that I may have jumped into a trip thinking I was a bit younger than I am. Although, sleeping in the truck while on the road and in Piers parking lot makes the trip all that much more memorable. What we won’t do for great service and great company!

Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to and support us little guys! Piers, you will be missed. Good luck and God bless.

Yea one of of most memorable trips I've made was the one to Canada in the fall of 03' for the first PDR dyno event. Not only was the 5500 mile round trip allot of fun, but the 10 days I spent in Canada was very cool also. I remember very well as I always will staying at Piers and Louise's place in the 5th wheel for multiple days and over to the Kondalay's for a few of those. The times we stayed after hours to work on stuff, to driving down the street for some supper and suds and arguing over the check..... (just catch the girl and pay it at the beginning) to Piers's, for Louises quizene to a nice private dinner there with them and the Kondalay's... ..... and guests ;) What a trip and what a great bunch of people to put up with us at the shop and at home. I always kept wondering who would open there door like that, then I'd have to say... . well me.
