I love my e brake... thats what kept me away from the HX40... my EGTs are still high, so maybe I can check this turbo out at dyno days!
If Piers has it for the 12 valve, he will have it for the 24!
Can ya tell I was up all night at work? Nothing to do, had to resort to the 12 valve forum!

Piers and Dave... how come one of you guys have not started a thread on the 24 valve forum about this. It seems there are several threads that guys are having troubles with the HX40, and also the DD downpipe for it doesn't seem to fit well. Appears you may have a market for this product over there.

Brian you would have to trade it in or sell it then buy an HX40, I'm not useing HX40 parts.
And as I just came back home on the back of a Ford tow truck tonight after my HX40 blew up, I'll be putting one of these puppies back on my truck so I can do some more beating on it.
%#$@ HX40 blew sky high at only 40lbs boost, I had the hybred one on before and pulled over 50lbs boost with no trouble, now Dave is testing it. I put an HX40 that had been modified with a 360 degree thrust & a bigger shaft, hopeing that would cure the HX40 blues... . it didn't #ad

Rob you're right about putting it on the 24v forum, I just want to put it behind a standard transmission & in a hotter climate for more testing before they go out.

If you need a hotter climate, what about oklahoma, it is around the 80's right now here. I would be game in testing it out. I have DDIII's, TTPM (setting is on 3) and 4" straight exhaust. The highest exhaust temps I have seen on my truck are around 1200* pulling my gooseneck with my tractor on it. I will drive the hell out of it (I commute around 160 miles a day). I have an extra set of valves and a 5 speed with a new clutch.

Morph.

Piers:

Do you know what is causing all the
shaft breaks on the HX-40? It seems
that lately there has been alot of
them. But, I know you had one on your
old Dodge and it was pretty reliable
wasn't it? Also, during my last
conversation with Joe D. he said he
had good reliability from the one
he had on "Sickly. " Do you think
leaving the HX-40 stock (not modifying
the vanes, shaft etc. ) is better as
far as reliability is concerned??

Thanks for your input!
