Piggy back Airdog 165 with stock fuel filter...?

My previously loved '03 QCSB6MT came with an Air Dog 165(?) setup.. With fuel filter and water separator..
The PO had bypassed the stock fuel filter during the install.

I am getting ready to redo the hoses(dry rot outer layer) and wiring(Very poorly installed) and wanted to add the stock filter back in line...

Is there a reason to Not do this, and are there any tips/tricks needed to make this work?

When I installed the AD on my 03 I bypassed the stock fuel filter. I left the housing there as the return line goes thru it but this way I don't have to change, or buy, 3 filters nor do I have to access the stock one where it is not as easy as the AD mounted on the frame.

Your stock housing is the best water seperator you will have. Put a baldwin pf7977 filter in there

Not a single one if you care about the fue system. Muti-pass filtration is your best friend when it comes to an HPCR system. Would not hurt to add another filter between the OE housing and the CP-3 for fina fine filtration and run a larger um filter on the AD.

So when I run the new lines, I just add the stock filter back in line? Seems simple... The banjo bolt that terminates at the front(CP3?) has been open to elements, so I'll take the whole unit off(filter/separator housing, Not Cp3), and give it a thorough cleaning and a fresh filter..
