Slight Surge at highway speed

How many miles?
Just under 200K. It pulled a an ASV on a goose neck most of the time. It was clunkying once in a while reverse to drive. Lots of play in the yoke. Took it all apart and it just needs bearings. I probably could have gotten away with just the pinion bearings but if I'm in there have to do the carrier bearings too

Thanks

Can't really answer you exact question.

That set is most likely the same set at Harbor Freight, I have that one. Abuse it for all sorts of things not bearing related. Very similar price point, think its $39 there. It's actually pretty nice aluminum set.

Alot of auto parts stores have free loaners, you need to put a deposit down and return it.

Two places I have had good luck from. Besides just getting off Amazon.

Then if you figure out the exact part you might be able to find them on here.

If your in a pinch you can always grind down the outside of the old races so they slide in the bore easily. Then use whatever adapter you can to drive the new race in with the old race as the driver. I have used a piece of bar stock that spans the old race for the adapter a couple of times. Isn't pretty but it works.

Yup that looks like the plan

If you don't have a 600 ft/lb torque wrench with a ratchet head and the truck is not way off the ground, getting the sleeve to crush and preload set can be a real pain. You need room under the truck to turn the wrench. Hopefully you have a hoist.
