Still doing my install of this pacbrake system on my 01 and the directions tell you to mount the tank to the frame which would be difficult with the box frame. I was thinking the front bumper support on the right side but then the tank would not be 100% vertical and I would not be able to drain all the condensation out of the tank.
Can any one who has a pacbrake tell me where there tank is located and if it is vertical or not. Thanks ahead of time.
 
Tank to frame is a piece of cake if you use thread inserts which should be part of every workshop.
You can get a whole kit including the pliers for 20-30 $ on Amazon.
 
If you have never used them before try at least one on a piece of scrap metal and turn the bolt in till it rips out the threads so you know what they can take.
They take roughly the same torque as a standard nut and bolt combi.
