I have purchased the FASS Platinum 95 GPH pump/single filter (P-D07-095G). You'll notice it is not using the Donaldson filter. It uses a Parker/Racor filter/separator. It says "2 micron" (don't know if it's nominal or absolute), Model B32004S and it's for vacuum/suction side use. Bowl is reusable.

I want to continue to use the existing fuel filter in addition to this one.

My question is how do I adapt from my new pump outlet hose (3/8") to the inlet quick disconnect on the filter housing? I think the inlet is the smaller white one to the right.

I read in a previous thread about a fitting that was larger and connected to the housing inlet. The line from the existing lift pump connects at the housing and continues upward. It doesn't just end. The line appears to be 1/4". I haven't taken it apart yet.

The specs on the filter are

2um at 95%, 99% free water sep, and 95% emulsifed water sep. Its designed as a vacuum filter.

I installed the FASS 95 dual sys. I left the stock filter in place to supplement the filtration and keep the stock WIF in place. The supply line is the "larger one" on the left side or outside/ away from th ENG. I got a new banjo fitting with my kit from FASS. It was to be used on the CP3 pump, I just used it on the Filter housing instead.

Talking to the folks that have installed the same sys they wish they did this.

Give me a shout if you need any help.

Wygate,

Thanks for the reply. I have the Dodge manual for the truck, but the only reference to which one was inlet or return was from a picture and some text. This implied the small one was the inlet. If the larger one is the inlet, then I don't need another adapter. The fitting for the CP3 pump should work.

Thanks again.

Good luck reaching it! I ended up doing it from the front, and it did not want to give up and not a great place to get much leverage, with out loosing skin! also I then removed stock hard line and used vulcanizing tape with a shrink wrap over the end and put hard line back on soft line and tied it up out of the way, keeping crap out of the line. (did not use stock lines at all)

FASS install complete

I finished my FASS install. Bought it at Christmas, just now got to installation. I did not have a lift, so I did the work while the truck was on the ground. Getting to the inlet & outlet fuel lines and the electrical connection on top of the fuel tank was difficult. I also connected the FASS fuel pump outlet to the OEM filter and not the CP3 pump. I used a Dorman connection (I think thats just a brand name) on the blue hose and connected it to the metal line at the OEM filter inlet. This is the same fitting that the OEM uses. After I did this, I could have just cut the OEM line off the Dorman fitting and re-used it. I also used Wygate's suggestion to used the self vulcanizing tape on the OEM fuel pump outlet line.

Did you drill thought the frame?

I know the two filtered FASS system is normally mount in front of the left rear wheel well.

Yes, I drilled into the frame just in front of the rear wheel.

And yes, it is a little lower than I'd like. I was trying stay away from the emergency back cable.
