STEVE -

My TDR membership has lapsed, and I don't plan to renew. Please remove me as a member, but I hope you are able to leave the many photos I have submitted over in Reader's Rigs - they are important as illustrations to the many photo-based threads I have submitted over time, and those threads are worthless without the supporting pics.

Best wishes to you, the staff, and TDR members, and best wishes for the Holidays.

Gary - K7GLD

Whats up Gary???,kind of like reading most of your posts(don't know you personnally)but you do make me crack a smile every once and a while(tell it like it is). Will miss your posts. Alot can be said with someone who has 6500+++ posts. Thankyou for your ideas/comments and contributing to make our trucks run a little better--- David :D :D :D

Just like that? After over 6500 posts I am puzzled. I hope its too move on to new interests and not from disappointment here.

Hey Gary

You going to be hanging out on the bombers board aren't you? Don't want to miss your input from a seasoned diesel head.

Take care

Glenn

Gary, we don't "delete" anyone's account. They need to stay around so the posts, pictures, etc stay correct. When we run the subscription deactivate routine your status is just changed to a non-member with the appropriate permissions at that point. Should you ever decide to resubscribe your account is just turned back on.

Sorry to see you go Gary. It's always painfull to loose the old time members of the board who've contributed so much over the years. Hopefully you'll stay active over on the Bombers? Reguards.

Gary,I enjoyed your post on the past. Can you share w\ us as to why you are NOT re-newing your membership. Hope all is well w\ you.

I guess I tuned in just in time! My own participation has lapsed significantly in the past year, primarily due to my Super Bee resto/research consuming most of my free time. Personally, I chose to keep up my TDR membership regardless of my participation for a number of reasons.

Wish you the best Gary, and perhaps we'll see you here again.

Cheers,

Dave

Gosh, Gary, I'm gonna miss you. My membership is up for renewal as well, and although I don't participate as much as I used to, I'm leaning toward renewing for another year.

Hey, maybe I'll run into you at the next ExxonMobil shareholders' meeting! :-laf Well, if not there, maybe some other diesel forums. :)

Best of luck and enjoy that retirement!

Rusty

Garry, going to miss you around here. I used to be on the old news group rec. rv-travel with you back in the 90's. You know, that place with your buddy Will Sill :)

Maybe you will come back and join TDR again like I just did.

Will R

Gary, you were a great contributor to the site. TDR ought to give you at least a free renewal for all the support and information that you have given in the past. ;) I'm sure several have opted to renew because of the support that they have received from people like you, if not just from you.

If you're heading out, good luck in the future! :)

Welllllllll... ... ... ,

A GOOD researcher, doesn't take NO for an answer, makes you backup your claim, and we still email on the VP44 work,

What more can I say, YOU definitely put in your busted knuckles time.

We'll stay in touch, and we WILL have the VP44 answer by next summer,

Bob Weis

Take care of the BP ;)

This thread has me wondering about others that have left and why someone would post leaving, publicly. I suppose its courtesy so at least others don't think something fatal has happened.

Well, I don't know if I would go that far... it would be different if it wasn't Gary's choice that he didn't renew. I think Gary's gotten exceedingly irritated with some of the younger guys on this forum - some folks can only see one viewpoint.

I'm also confused as to why Gary just didn't send a PM to Steve requesting the removal of his membership. A simple "goodbye" would have been more appropriate. Surely he knew that this would create a fuss.
