Actually the harness's are different you can see that right away because of the trans plug. BUT THAT DOES NOT MATTER ANY MORE BOB AND MARCO ROCK... Oo... ... . Oo... ... Oo. the service writer about fell over when I drove my truck from behind the shop (they pushed it there)Can you say SMARTY... ... . Bob sent me a recovery program did a download and a away I went. I dont know how all this works but I can tell you one thing customer service from BOB WAGNER is second to none. This was no charge from BOB one hour after I called BOB he calls me and says you got mail THANK YOU THANK YOU BOB AND MARCO Oo. Oo. Oo.

Right on, that's awesome.

I have heard that exact story before after someone had their truck at a dealer and Marco/Bob gave them a recovery program.

The dealer was like WTF, how did you do that.

Bob and Marco are great. It sucks that they also have to take so much BS sometimes.

The Manual crank will work fine in an Auto truck... . Not according to DC its the front of the crank thats different thats why it would not run rite the guy at cummins verified that when I called him he thought they would interchange then said I cant beleive they would do that his comment was the last step in machiningon the front of the crank was different. Thanks to All that tried to help I just dont want anybody else togo thur this. Randy

Marco can do things that the dealer can only dream of LMFAO

Marco is a great guy and VERY talented too.

Thank again Marco

Randy did ya tell them how you did it?

I would not have said a word, just to be ornery. :-laf

I would have like to:-laf but I had to get my smarty out of my truck do the down load then come back carrying my little black box so they had an idea what was going on it was still fun none the less they were still dumbfounded. Randy Thanks again to Marco he is my HERO!!!!!!!!!Oo.

Had a similar problem once on a gasser

Has anyone swapped motors in a 06. My truck is an automatic bought an 06 motor with 6 speed. Got the motor in the truck fired it & it runs like sh-- Anyway the truck ends up at the dealer they do their thing, can't fix it because a motor from a stick won't work in a auto equipped truck. Get this- it's because they have different cranks #@$%! I just cant believe they would do this. But I did talk to cummins NW they confirmed that there are different part#s for the cranks. Anybody heard of this or found a way around it? I don't want to pull the motor again. Any Ideas? Thanks Randy

Did an engine swap years ago and had a major vibration problem and it was caused by the harmonic balancer not being right for the engine. Maybe a fluiddampr would resolve the issue or a balancer off of a hand shaker??

i did a swap to a 6 speed, try putting your old ecm on the engine, also compare every connection on the engine wireing harnesses because they are different standard/autos there are two pieces to the harnesses a front half and a rear half, after the swap me and a friend did on our trucks we havent had any problems at all.

I would worry more about the ecm. I put an ecm off a manual on a truck with an auto and it ran fine for 2000 miles, then, the trans quit working one day. Come to find out, the trans was fried because the ecm off the manual doesn't "talk" to the pcm which dictates how the trans will operate.

Not sure what year your truck was but mine only ran for a few minutes than it died. That was all she wrote no more start. Thats why it ended up at the dealer. I just put 10,000 miles on it 2 weeks ago after Bob and Marco sent me the recovery program getting ready to put another 10,000 mile next week Thanks again Bob and Marco Randy

Have not had time to pull the head (we just moved) pretty sure I lossed a valve seat in cyl #6 we put new injectors in it the engine actually sounded pretty good but was still missing and had a noise in the top end we just could not afford the truck to be down any longer and werent sure how bad it was hurt so desided just put a new motor in it what a nitemare that turn out to be but every thing is good now. The reason for no warranty was 175,000 miles. Randy
