I just ordered my PML rear diff cover. http://www.yourcovers.com/ I really like the idea of extra capacity and a fill/drain plugs + better heat dissipation. I ordered PML part number 10361-B (black powder coat) for my 2012. Nice looking piece! :-laf The last owner of my truck just had the diffs serviced.... so, I may wait a few more miles before the install with fresh fluid. I will post pics once it arrives and I'll show the install and finished project once I am done.

UPDATE>>>> I received my new PML Diff cover today! Nice piece! Can't wait to post install pics!

The cover has 3 threaded holes.... 1 directly on the bottom for draining (drain plug is magnetized) LEFT side of this pic, fill level hole on the side (next to the PML logo, TOP of this pic), fill hole on the top (RIGHT side of this pic). Please let me know if you have questions or if you require further information.

Thanks ALOT for the additional pics, kcpolk !!!

I really like the recessed area where the drain plug is located.

I installed my new PML diff cover..... looks GREAT and now holds 4-3/4 qts Mobil Synthetic 75W-90 Gear Oil. :)

Yes - the fill and level holes have the same (pipe) threaded plug. The drain hole is a smaller threaded plug with a copper sealing washer. All the mounting hardware is stainless. I removed the factory re-useable gasket and sealed the surfaces with "Right-Stuff" black cheese whiz. LOL.....

Does PML suggest NOT using the reusable gasket on their differential covers? In any event....the "Right Stuff" is a quality product.

That is a nice cover. I like how all the bolts are used unlike with the AFE cover.

On my '13 I purchased a AFE cover which IMO stinks. The location of the drain hole omits the bottom screw, and the cover will leak if installed without additional sealer. The below picture is the cover installed with just the small o-ring gasket supplied with the cover (can't use the OEM reusable gasket). My local repair shop (who installed the cover) said the quality and design of the cover wasn't up to what some other covers offer. We added additional sealer to make it stop dripping gear oil.

Also, the cover is so deep you need to relocate/push back the spare tire or it will hit. Crazy.....

Bottom line - stay away from AFE and look at the PML cover. I think its a much better design.
