drawson-mind your own business,I wasn't talking to you. I was there pulling, Fuller put 3' or so on me in the 7200 open. I had a problem at the big end... no excuses.

Powerwagon-I never said power was EVERYTHING! Driver has alot to do with it,set-up does too. BUT,the best set-up and driver in the world can't walk it out the door with a low power truck. DUH!! If you don't have a clue..... then why act like it??:confused:

msmtd,

You didnt wanna stay around and get into the drag racing?

If Jim was right ahead of you in the pulls what place did you end up in? I did not ask Jim where he placed. I was too busy swallowing my pride after hearing Gene won:D

Don~

Jim may have lost this pull but I still stand behind my post. It's almost amazing how any thing can turn in to a pi$$ing match:rolleyes:

Powerwagon claims---

"And it would be screaming laugh to see Sled Puller try to keep up on the 1/4 mile run. "

"I suspect truck pulls are 50% driver, 30% setup, 20% power. "

Now I myself would like to hear his lengthy explanation on this,,Certainly we all know in drag racing a stick vechicle is at a disadvantage,especially when there is not one aftermarket shifter to aid in smoother and more positive engagement(as far as parts for our trucks),,Complaining,nope,just a fact and I'd be willing to bet PW when ya ask Gene he'll tell ya he's not a drag racer ,nor is his truck built for it,,I'd like you to tell some of the East/West or wherever bracket racers setup is only a small percentage of the equasion,,With out a good setup(combination) or HP to make it consistent the driver means nothing,,If you can not run the number your as one of our eastern announcers would say "OUTTA HERE"... ...

Without power sled pulling is a tough deal,,Sure the driver contributes,knowing what tire or pressure,gear selection or where to place the sled for his pending pull means alot,,BUT,without the HP/Torque all the other means nothing,guess you would not know that since youve never been to a pull,,

Mitchells group backed up what they were talking,,Win lose or draw,Jim is a stand up guy and just got beat,you certainly can not say he did not have the power so in your eyes what did he lack to win???,,First pull, the sled and track is all the same,level playing field for all so whats the difference??,,Bet Jim don't care,just will motivate him harder for Scheids later... . Andy

msmtd, If you want us to stay out of this keep it in PMs and E-Mails. Messing with my friends make it my business. You've got a bad attitude!!! It's pretty easy to be the big man on the forums but man to man take ----s.

Puling

I don't know about all "POWER" to win it guys... . at the pulls in Turlock ,CA last year... a bone stock crew-cab Powerstroke with a stack {pallet} of plywood sheets in the bed beat all the hopped up diesels. . :eek: . . pretty amazing with stock tires too;) msmtd or whatever your name is. . you sure talk big for a little Indiana Corn-fed hick... like DRAWSON said. . are you willing to put up man to man or what?:{

How come some of you west coasters kept voting for Jim after the results were already posted??:confused: :rolleyes:

I think Stefan will be the next west coaster to get bit by the pulling bug.
