Banks Exhaust Brake

I was thinking that the return line from the injection pump could be routed through the stock fuel heater setup with the filter removed. Since the return fuel is sent back into the fuel pickup bucket it seems like an easy and cheap way to heat the fuel before it reaches the fuel filters. Any thoughts or ideas if this would work or not?

Sounds like a good idea, only problem I can think of is, the the heater is probably designed for a bigger volume of fuel the element might get to hot for the amount of fuel running thru it.

I think it has potential but in the real world the fuel would have to be pumped thru the FASS or AirDog up to the injector pump then out the injector pump to the heater than along the return line to the tank to be picked up again by the FASS. I don't think there will be any heat left after all that. If the filters gel up on either unit the truck won't run to start the entire process.

The one I installed on a 2002 24 valve Dodge I put their fitting into the Dodge filter housing. It was the same size as the injection pump inlet fitting. I removed the factory filter. This way the factory fuel heater is still being used to prevent gelling. Was not done on initial installation and vehicle quit due to fuel gelling.
