Sweet! I will take one of those! I would love a Maule or Piper Husky, even a Wag. I met a guy who worked on an exhibit at the museum I work at who is an Alaskan hunting guide/pilot. He has a Wag I believe.

Ya it's a good bush plane. Just so you know Piper doesn't make the Husky, Aviat (spelling) does. Piper doesn't make the Supercub either, Cubcrafters makes it now. The Maule is a great airplane, I had one for 10 years.

Tim

That's right, I should have known Aviat makes it. Just reminds me of the Cub every time I see it, which its more of a copy than a Cub itself.

Which model Maule did you have?

TAllen,

Did you build the Sportsman? Neat airplane but a lot of work, building a tube and fabric airplane.

I had a 1976 M5 235 Maule for 7 years. In fact, I've got a couple of magazines with that airplane featured. It was a demo plane in CA. It was a great plane and I flew the wheels off it. But, the prop flunked it's physical at a time when the cattle market was at a low so I put a new prop on it and sold it. It's replacement was a PA-19 L18C which was a 90 hp Super Cub with no electrical. It used the "Ernest Hemmingway" method of starting---Farewell to Arms:) The Cub burned 4. 5 gph of car gas. I flew it 2-3 times per week to check cattle, mineral and windmills on my ranch turning a 12-15 hour pickup drive into a 1 hour flight. Much smoother flying, as well. But, gotta look out for those Redtail Hawks.

This was a 78 scout. now it is a fuel injected half buggy thing. I just finished the fab work and will start painting parts and putting them back together. I have to have it ready for the memorial day run in clayton oklahoma!!!

Wore out three sets of handle bar grips in 14 years, couldn't buy anything other than a Honda after the last one. Here's the new 2005 500 Foreman.

toys ????

Well I saw this thread and I do not live in a place that is ATV Friendly and I live on an island so I can not go to the dunes so I do not have an ATV Toy picture

this is one of my toys here Boats are the ATVS here in Juneau I hope I am not out of line by posting the boat picture, by the way it is a 22 ft Hewescraft welded Alumnium extended transom hard top with a 200 hp honda 4 stroke

and it goes really fast 51 mph wide open smooth water not bad for a deep v boat

here are my toys..... well actually the boat doesn't belong to me I just get to use it and haul it for the owner..... the USCG. We belong to the CG Auxiliary and run the boat in Whittier Alaska for them.

The pic with the snowmachines is with my old truck, still have the camper though. It has a heated basement and works great in the winter thats why its so tall.

The PWC's are small and light unlike the glacier behind me in that pic... . and I'm at least a quarter mile away from it. Thats a huge amount of water coming out from under it!

I made this a while back. all made from scratch. all i bought was the axle, wheels, tank, and regulator. painted it myself and all. i wish it was in my back yard though. the fire dept. bought it off me. notice the malti's (sp?) crosses, learned to CNC program that day. Oo.
