posted this query in the Towing forum but wanted to get a little more visibility over here:

Have any of you had experience with the Power Edge EZ box with an unmodified stock AT? The advertising blurb states "The Power Edge EZ was developed with the towing application in mind.

The power and torque produced by the Power Edge EZ does not exceed the truck's power train design. "

NO PROBLEM

Using the Edge EZ on a stock truck, manual or automatic should be no problem with either transmissions. . However, any futher upgrading ie. , injectors may require clutch or transmission upgrading. It would be a good idea to install gauages when you start "bombing". If you are looking to purchase an EZ, I've got a New one to sell at a good price. . Just E-mail me... thanks,

I ran my truck w/stock AT & Edge EZ for 2 weeks (waiting for DTT products to come in). The only time I experienced problems was after I put the DDii's in (still before DTT), I was told that I was experiencing some slipping. I didn't tow anything (prior to DTT, w/EZ & injectors). If you tow, I would suggest doing transmission soon. I agree w/Herberram, gauges should be installed.

HTH my 2 pennies.

Hey, didn't realize you're in my neighborhood. I sent you an e-mail.

Towing with the EZ alone should be okay, but gauges are highly recommended.

I have some IssPro gauges, if interested, too.

Give me a call, I'm in West Phoenix by the White Tanks.

My trannie is bone stock and i have an EZ and i have not noticed any problems. Temps are the same, no slippage noticed.

Hey Hermit, I have an EZ to sell also. I have had it for a month and it works great. I just hang out with the NW BOMB-a-holics and I have too have more, much more power:rolleyes: . You can e-mail me at -- email address removed -- . Sam.
