Guys,
I know there are a gazillion things to buy for power enrichment. I want to hear what you boys and girls are using or would recommend to me to get. See sig for my truck info. I want to have the horsepower in the 400 to 450 range. Want to wake up this cummins, but not pull sleds. It's still gonna be my primary means of transportation. For now, I'm thinking injectors, fueling box (Edge), Air Dog II, HX40, 3-piece exhaust manifold, new clutch. Looking for a little direction.
Thanks!

I have a Banks Stinger & have had it since 02 HO Six speed & knock on wood I have never had any problems. I have pulled our 32ft 10000 LB Holiday Rambler all over the US & have never had a lack of power. I know a lot of people do not like the Banks but it works for me.

I would say the most important upgrades aren't going to necessarily be performance driven. Clutch as you mentioned, head studs at a minimum, lift pump upgrade to a FASS/AD 150 will be mandatory to supply the injection pump, and that may be on the upper limits of the factory air filter if your still running it. Once those are addressed, it will be a matter of matching a good set of injectors to a turbo. It is difficult to find a good turbo that will handle the power increase up top while still performing towing and daily driving duties, which is why I think compounds are the way to go. I've been keeping my eyes open for a deal on a used piping set, once I can acquire that I'll be making a purchase on a turbo to go under my OEM HX35.

Check my sig for mods, and resulting RW power...

nascar you probably wouldn't be happy with a HX40 turbo, kinda laggy and if you're not careful you can kill it. You'd be better off with one of the S300 based modified turbos from a reputable vendor such as BD, High Tech Turbo, Source Automotive, etc. Another option is a Stage II or Stage III Garrett ball bearing turbo from Turbo Re-Source, that's what I run and like it a lot.

Thanks Vaughn. That's the kind of info I am looking for. I want to know what's working well on trucks, and what I should avoid.

Call Sourceautomotive, they'll tell you which package work out fine exactly for your needs.
Next year I'll buy the BBi Injectors.
