2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Power Mirrors Keep Popping Fuse

On my '99 Dodge I keep zapping my fuse when I try to adjust my mirror. I know that their is an obvious short somewhere but I have'nt pursued it yet. My question is can the actual power mirror motor be the actual source of the short and has anyone else experianced this problem.

This happened on my 95 Dodge. The problem was that the wire coming through the door panel had gotten between the inside mounting plate and the door metal. It pinched several wires to ground and blew the fuse. I ended up drilling a hole through the inside plate and threading the wire through it. Problem solved. Dpratt
