About six years ago I replaced my steering box because of a leak. About four months later I replaced the hydroboost unit because it sprung a leak. Four months after that I removed the vacuum pump and power steering pump because of an oil leak and put in a Borgenson 80032 power steering pump since the truck had over 300k on it. The truck steers perfectly in both directions but when the engine/fluids warm up it sounds like the pump groans while turning to the right but only at slow engine speeds. " for example slowing to turn into your driveway. The resistance doesn't change in the steering wheel, it's just a groan. I almost never hear it in the winter when the temp is 32 or less. I'm using Valvoline power steering fluid bar code #074130790896. Nothing has changed in about five years and I've been on trips over 2000 miles towing my trailer with no problems. Just an irritating groan while turning to the right at slow speeds when the fluids are warm!
Any ideas? Thanks, David
