With a 99 ISB 2WD five speed and hoping to find a proper way to have the windows operated on the acc. position and therefore not have ignition switch on. This avoids operating the heavy power using intake manifold air heaters. Dealers so far have considered the question too much problem. I really don't to want fit a momentary switch unless I have to and who knows that might do? Anyone had any experience or got any clues Thanks

David,

Do you have a service manual? If not then this little job would probably pay for it. My truck is a '95 so I don't know if any of this applies to yours. My fuse panel has two circuit breakers near the top. One is for the seat and the other is for the windows. The seat (as you probably know) is hot all the time so I just moved the wire that goes from the circuit breaker to the windows to the circuit breaker for the seats. Pretty simple to do.

Unless they changed how the intake manifold heaters work. Air in manifold has to be 59 degrees or below for heaters to come on.
But you still can switch windows to ACC.
Better yet if you had bought ST model you wouldn't have to worry about it. (Manual windows !!!)
Check drivers manual or service manual to see what it says on operation of intake manifold heaters.
