The passenger window controls don't always work. I can operate all windows from driver's side window switches always. Yes I do know about lock out switch. Perhaps the lockout switch is bad and keeps windows locked off sometimes. Cycling the lock out switch doesn't seem to make a difference. Sometimes passenger controls work and sometimes not. Anyone else had this prob and fixed it? Searched forum w/o results for probs with all passenger window switches. Thanks, Jim

I have the exact problem, though I've only tested the front passenger side. I've taken both front door liners off and checked the connections for both sides. Both connections were tight. I guess today I'll check the windows controls for the back. Electronic door locks work find from the front passenger side.

I had the same problem and had to replace the drivers door control unit to correct the problem. It was a sometimes the passnger buttons would work but most of the time they would not. I guess something in the drivers door unit must have been making sporadic contact and allowing the other switches to work and othe times not. Been good for over 2 years now, Knock on wood.

Yes the entire unit comes as 1 piece,

Don't remember the pricetag for the unit it's been better than 2 years ago, got it from the dealer.

Power window problem:

The power window switches can be replaced on there own without bying the whole door lock/window switch. The P/N is 56007695 AC, $34. 99 + TAX. this does make repair a little cheaper rather then the dealers trying to sell us the whole assy.

Hope this info helps,

Gary

I might try swapping the switches from the problem door with one of the other working doors. Should indicate without much difficulty if you have a switch problem or not,...

This has become a comon problem. I just don't understand it though. . The lockout button on mine has never been used but now it's starting to fail??? I hate doing chickenstuff repairs but I'm seriously considering just jumpering it.

Yeah, it seems as the lockout button is the culprit in almost all cases. Mine has been sporadic for about two years now. Since I am the only one that is in the truck 99% of the time, I haven't done anything about it yet.

Indeed it has. We've heard this a lot in the last year, especially. Like you, I never used the lockout button, and yet it has failed.

Still haven't fixed mine (been several years it's been non-functional). For the 2 or 3 times a year I carry passengers, I'm not very motivated to fix it.

My driver's door control quit operating the front passenger window. Dodge replaced the control unit under warranty. On the way home (180 miles) it quit working again. Went back a week later and they replaced the same thing. Told me it was ready to roll. This time, I tested it before I pulled out of the lot and guess what... ... . it didn't work. After a bunch of head scratching, they swapped switches with the passenger front door and the passenger back door. That was a year ago and things are still working now.
