On my 96' 12 valve I gained 27 RWHP by going from the

stock HX-35/12 to Piers' HX-40/16. That was on a Dyno

Jet.

Hope this has you helped you.

John_P,

Was that the only change you made when you dyno'd - just the turbo system?

I recently switched to a PDR HX40/16 from a PDR HX35/14 and intended to dyno it with no other changes, but it fried it's bearings after 175 miles. I'm still waiting for it to be returned from PDR. Once it's on and broken in properly, I'll go see the dyno man. His is a DynoJet, too.

Thanks,

JK

JGK, John_P's 2500 is an auto too, so there's where a little bit of difference would come into play.

I will let y'all know what kind of difference it makes! I blew up my HX35-12, and are currently waiting on the PDR HX40-16 to arrive to my doorstep... Tonight, we installed the CON OFE Clutch to get the power to the ground, so not it is just a matter of time to get the turbo here! I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER!!!!

Stephanie at PDR said Piers has determined mine can't be rebuilt (after apparently thinking it could). She said she thinks the turbo shop had 2 available and hopefully a replacement 40 will be shipping out to me today.

I'll try to get it installed, broken in and dyno'd soon but I suspect this thread will be long gone by then - it only takes a few days! Charlan or I can resurrect it and let you know what we see.

Hey Chris ... you're gonna be running lots cooler now. Time for some more fuel. :D Might as well get the #0 on the way. ;)
