The truck I am driving has the Dana 70 with 3. 07 gears. I also have a D70 out of a 92' CTD with 3. 54's and the Powr-Lok. Will the Powr-Lok drop into the 3. 07 unit?

The 3:07 has its own carrier assy. No other carrrier will drop in and give you the proper spacing for the Ring gear.

The 3:07 housing is in a family of its own also. You can't drop a 3:07 carrier into a 3:54 case and get it to work.

I knew from what I gathered here the 3. 07 was an odd duck. I was hoping to remedy the one wheel wonder with in-house parts. I'll swap axles when I get the OD transmission in there. Did the 3. 07's have the powr-lok option? I guess I could look myself! Hehe...

Dodge did offer a power lock for the 3:07's. Last time I checked it was still listed in stock also. It was around $550.

Wish I could afford one.

Run the truck with the OD trans and the 3:07's for a while. You might like that combo. I do.

You know how it ran with the 727. Just remember your adding one more gear. Its nice to run out to 75 MPH then let OD come in and see another mfg's drivers face when he hears you shift at that speed. :D

Little off subject- I had an '87 Ramcharger with a 440 in it. At 70 mph, when you stepped on it, it would shift down to second and LEAVE! Put you right back in the seat too! :eek: Boy I loved that truck! :{

Hijack over!
