Any of you have any experience with PPE? I read al about Smarty (which does tell me something) but I haven't seen much on PPE. I know they are usually for Duramax, but their claim of 300/470 @ crank is a good one.

Im runnin the PPE hot and u need supporting mods to get the 300 out of it,and if u have an auto u need to get it built cause it wont take long to trash it!

Thank you. I do have Suncoast triple lock and valve body. Also, 50hp injectors, 4'' MBRP, Banks intake, intake box and intercooler.

I have BDTD and have been real happy. No Crazy Larry though. I just wanted to make sure those kind of numbers are possible.

On the duramax the PPE is impressive. But it would take alot to give up my smarty. Everyone of our customers that have the smarty love them.

Thanks for all the help on the power boxes. Smarty has a loyal following. That says it all!

Can anyone tell me the power level comparison of BDTD on extreme
and the Smarty at its level 9 or 10?

Thanks, Scott

One of my friends has a 05 quad cab short bed 4x4 with smarty on 90hp and he woops up on another buddy with a 06 quad cab short bed 2x4 with bully dog triple dog on crazy larry... Both have straight pipe, and AFE intakes... I mean a bad woopin... . I have noticed that every truck is different and some run better with different chips and programs. . The 05 on w smarty on anything higher than the 90hp setting just burns the clutch. . I am very impressed with the smarty... I will be buying one as soon as I get my 03 back on the road...

ive run many different programmers including the BDTD and PPE. the smarty is in a different league. i will never change to another programmer.

Continued adoration for the Smarty! It is amazing that one product can be that good. They must have done and continue to do their homework.

It seemed the BD was the one top beat in the 2005-2006 years. I don't know what really happened to Crazy Larry, but Extreme is not enough.

Please keep the Smarty experiences coming.

The only complaint I have about smarty is the tune changing process. I wish they could come up with something that you could change the settings on the fly... I usually cruise in the 60 HP setting for mileage reasons but it would be nice to dial up to 170 when you pull up next to a tuned powerstroke or duramax... . Is there ever going to be that option with the Smarty?

yea i agree with osiris i wish smarty had adjustability on the fly. does anyone know if this is going to be an option in the future.

I think the programming process is somehow different on the smarty than the BD and others. I wonder if the bd changes the whole program or just like the preassure or timing or something.

stack a TST on it :D

Stacking is the ticket,TST,BANKS,awesome setup. I was VERY impressed how well the Smarty/Banks PowerPDA operated, It threw the PDA for a couple of loops, nothing that some Parameter changes can't solve.

tow big or go home..... LOL. no need to make smarty adjustable, or stack. just tow on wild setting.

tow big or hitch a ride home you mean... as heavy as people tow with these trucks:rolleyes: i wouldnt reccomend towing on wild with smarty. its just too hard on automatics. #@$%!
