Why do I need the PS boost module and Elbow? It seems everyone that has a Cummings Diesel has one. What does it do? I have the Diable Power Puck and was thinking of the RV 275 injectors. I want to keep my egt's low and no problems. Do you guys think this is a good combination? Where to I get a Boost module?
BValentz, the PS boost module is definitely something you could use! TDR Member Cannonball is the point of contact for Practical Solutions.
The boost module connects to your MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor and allow you to run higher boost levels without setting off codes or causing the engine to cut back on fuel. And the elbow keeps the wastegate shut longer so mechanically you can achieve higher boost. The boost module works great and is very affordable.
Higher boost allows lower EGTs by giving your engine more air to go along with the added fueling from boxes or injectors. I'd get one to go along with your Power Puck, and especially if you add injectors.

Thanks for the Information. The boost module and injectors arent going to affect any reliability and MPG or put any additional strain on the engine. Sorry for all the questions but i am a NEWBIE TO DIESEL ENGINES.
I would not be without my Practical Solutions boost module and Elbow. Great people to work with and good service. Check out their high idler kit. It works great to keep the air conditioning cool in the truck this time of year.
