I picked up my '07 2500 QC 4x4 w/5. 9L auto trans. the end of Dec.

To date I have had to have the sliding rear window replaced, hood realigned, passenger rear door realigned, drivers side power window stopped working as did the same side rear door window. #@$%!

Anti Slip rear end, you got to be real careful with when the roads are wet, and no load, It will slip in a heart beat.

Fuel mileage stinks avg. 16 MPG empty, and 13 towing.

Other than those, no drive train or engine issues... . Knocks on wood.

The rear wheels spinning easily on wet roads is normal in my experience, with my truck. Remember, there's a torque monster under the hood.

Sometimes, wet asphault is almost like starting off on ice.

Grizzly; truck was made in St. Louis, with a quality control sticker in the drivers window... LOL what a joke.

PawPaw; understand the torque monster under the hood, sense I do still have a '96. It will spin the tires as well but not near as easy as my '07... I know way more power and Tq. in the new one.

But with the anti-slip rear end figured it would not do that as easy as it does. I mean if I go to pass someone on a two lane Hwy and the roads are damp/wet, can not jump on it and make it shift down or take a chance of the truck jumping sideways, which I have already experienced. Had to go back home ( no need to turn around, already done that) to change my drawers LOL

slipping is the tires... .

I have an 01 and an 05 and the 05 is slippery as snot then I put a spare set of 17's and the same crappy bfg's on the 01 and guess what it is now slippery as snott...

TIRES slipping is just physics at work; normal. Also stock tires are not exactly high quality as far as wet traction goes. I have no problem spinning my FOUR rear tires. Mileage sounds fine. About what mine was new. I'm at 20k now and its up about 15% from new. I've done 2 long (1000 mile plus) tows and after each pull my mileage went up a little. The business about not being broken in for at least 20,000 miles is true.

Sounds like the mexican trucks are a little better... :O

It's unfortunate, but true, Mexican built have been better with respect to fit and finish. There was a resent Thread on this subject, which said more positives remarks about Mexican built over St. Louis built.

I'd have to agree. Sad but true. I've had 3 mexican trucks and have had no problems with any of them. I buy "American" and get a mexican truck and my wife wants a new Toyota and it would be made in Ohio!

I think my Honda is more American than my Dodge. Eh, I don't really care. At least the Fuel Tank Vent kit is made in America. Installed by an American. In America!! Are the FTV kit parts sourced in America? :D

Guess I should have tried to find a No speak English truck, but was lucky to find one with a 5. 9L at all in KY.

Just hope that is the end of the problems.

Oh forgot Just had to have the grill replace do to 3 of the plastic clips the hold the inserts in had broke. Dealer has been great so far, at fixing the problems.

Dang! You guys are hard on your trucks. My '06, made in Mexico, is almost a year old now. Other than some dirt, it's a tight and in as good of shape as the day I drove it home. I've not had any problems and it gets 19mpg empty with mix freeway/surface street driving. Oh, the best thing about my truck; my wife refuses to drive it. She says she doesn't want to be the first to put a ding in it. Now, maybe I have something there... . wife no drive, truck no break.

The Fuel Tank Vent Kit parts are all sourced in America. I can't find any 1/2" pipe thread caps that are made in America though. :{

I buy the fittings, hose, and clamps from small local vendors, not large home centers or big vendors. Being the "little guy", I like to support the "little guy".

I do have to source one part from a large supplier - couldn't find it anywhere else!

Welcome to wonderful world that is the Cummins. Break those tires loose. Oo. Oo. Piece of cake with my '97 dually, on wet pavement that is.

Great mileage for such a fresh truck. :D Get it broke in, and I'd be surprised if it won't go to 19mpg empty. :)

My truck was built in Mexico. Been a GREAT truck. :D
