Detroit to Reno empty

arkansas hwy. info.

I can't seem to find what I need here. .

I am looking for a Tee fitting I can place on my TT's propane tank that will give an additional hi pressure port and also a section of hose I can connect that port to a standard grill (not a Colman), basically an extension hose since the hose on the grill is too short.

All I have found is Tees to connect the smaller camping type grills.

edit Hrmm, maybe this would work-

I could use this adapter to put on the grills hose end and then this kit to then adapt the new end for the grill to the supplied hose that connects to the tank Tee.

Still, it seems there should be something out there that doesn't uses adapters.

I guess where I don't understand those kits is how the extension hose would connect to a POP fitting like you find on todays grills. Maybe they want you to take the hose off the grill's regulator and install the extension hose into the regulator.

I'm looking for the same thing. I haven't seen it yet. Ideally you would have a hose with the male end on it so you didnt' need any adapter. I just did this little conversion so I won't have to carry a separate tank.

I just went through the entire Marshall Brass catalog. What we want isn't there. I suspect its a safety issue. The acme fitting (the big black female fitting) is designed to shut off flow in the event of a fire. Near as I can tell its either use the adapter you linked, or cut off the acme fitting and get a barbed fitting that fits the hose (they do have those).

Here's a photo of how I normally run my stuff. Lantern on top, hose off the top connection for the stove and barbecue off the bottom one (thats the same adapter you have linked). I just want to option to use the camper only for those short trips or if the tank goes empty etc.

Here is the system I use. It fits into the valve of one of the bottles, then the auto change over regulator connects to this adaptor. There is a 3rd tap that come off the 12' hose goes on. the hose has the same end as a small propane bottle.

I then picked up a 2nd extension hose at Walmart for like $15. 00. I think I have around 20' of hose now. Best part is when you disconnect the hose, both ends are sealed, no gas smell, no dirt getting into the ends.

My camper has a fitting like a air line quick connect on the propane. Problem with using that is you have to remove the regulator off the grill. total cost of hose and connectors was the same price as the adaptor kit I bought, plus now I can still use my grill with small bottles of gas if I need to.

Have you tried your local RV Dealer Most dealers have what is called extened stay set ups Tee's and guick disconects, everything or part. If that does not work I know camping World has the same set up. Happy camping

If marshalls brass doesnt have it, it probably doesnt exist. They make the stuff campingworld sells, the piece i got from amerigas was from them too.

The problem is the fitting all these barbecues come with now. Its designed to attach directly to a tank. All those extend a flow things use a hose and attachments for fittings that are fine for most stoves and lanterns but not the barbecues.

The slick way to do what you guys want is to hook into a line inside your rv (after the regulator} I did this under my stove and ran the line down thru the floor and out in front of my tires. There I have a shut off valve and a quick connect fitting. When I want to use the BBQ or any other propane device I just plug in the hose and open the valve. Now you cant find the valves ect in good old lawsuit calif. I got all my stuff in AZ. If you want to do it the easy way you can get a T at about any hardware store and put it in the gas line right after the regulator. I hope I answered and not confussed

Almost every town of any size has an industrial hose supplier that builds hose... . We get any hose and configuration we want from them... I wanted to extend one of my hoses for my RV so that I could stand a 25 gal cylinder outside the RV and use it for elk hunting... . I went to a hose supplier with the old hose..... 1/4 pipe on one end and the common connection to a bottle on the other end... . told him I wanted one that was 7 ft long and a 90* on one end... . and rated for propane... . he came back in 10 min with a hose 7 ft long exactly as I need made for what I wanted to do... and the ends were crimped... . not barbed and hose clamped... . 10 or 12 bucks... .

Any large farm supply store should be able to direct you to one. . . as they also make hydraulic hoses... . etc... . Hope this helps. .
