Protection group downgraded

I was under my truck the other day just admiring the works of art. I noticed that the fuel tank does not have the skid plate that I was promised when I paid $140. 00 for the protection group. I plan to complain some when I went to the dealer next time. I don't really care one way or the other, but I may be able to get some free stuff.

I just checked the build your own" on the Dodge site and the protection group is now $95. 00, sans the fuel tank skid shield.

My truck was delivered without the fuel tank skid plate, but with the $140 protection group charge. My salesman has been working this issue for me. I want the skid plate. He called me today with an update. He read me a letter from DCX. Here is the essence:



DCX is not currently delivering the skid plate. If you were charged for it on the MSRP sheet, you will get a $45 refund check from DCX.



The skid plate will be available sometime after the first of the year - no definite date.



When it is available my dealer promises to get one for me for $45 and install it for no charge. This sounds fair to me. The dealer had no idea the trucks were coming through without the fuel tank plate.

Skid Plate Shield - Fuel Tank

Tow Hooks

Skid Plate Shield - Transfer case



The tow hooks and transfer case shield are on my truck, the fuel tank shield is not.

shoot, mine only says $95 for protection group,tow hooks and t-case skid
