It's still there, on the top rear of the breather cover...but the pickup versions don't contain ratings info any longer. Cab chassis engines do.

The ESN is on that sticker as well as on the 'traceability label' that's on the front side of the breather cover. It should also be on a small sticker on the bottom front of the ECM, along with the original software it was programmed with.

I believe the calibrations are pulled via VIN, so maybe they fat-fingered something?

The lack of posted ratings is what I’m referring to being gone.

The ESN is there and easy to read.

A HO with SO trans programming probably wouldn’t work at all.

I am the OP.

Update -- by some means unbeknownst to me, the dealer did indeed have SO software in my HO ECM. They have corrected that, and now all is as it should be. That includes me firing that dealer for future sales and service. I ended up driving it 16,500 miles on the wrong software. Who knows what the emissions results are with running the wrong software. It shall be interesting to see how much DEF that I use now, as consumption of DEF went way up when they put the wrong software in it.

Wowzer you had one Stupid dealership mechanic if they installed the wrong software into you ECU, I don't understand how they could not look at either the engine serial number or your VIN to find out what engine you had, I'm glad you got it fixed, I sure as heck hope you reamed out the dealer who did this to you...

My 18 doesn’t have anything, at least that I’ve seen, with info regarding SO or HO. There isn’t placard about hp like my 05 had. There is a EGR/EGR cover in the way.

John, I know this is old AND you don't have the truck anymore, but the label could have been on the back top of the engine. Me being the curious guy that I am, looked for mine on my 17 5500. It impossible to read without stick a smart phone and taking a picture of it. It took several for me to capture all info.

Might be hidden the same on the new one.

I believe just the C&C motors have them, but will double check.
