Is there anybody out there that is still lending out there 4 1/2 hole saw for installing the Pshcotty. If so would it be possible to borrow it. If you are willing let me know and I'll email my info. But lets wait til it arrives. Just trying to find out ahead of time so I'm prepared to install. Thanks to all, Dwayne:D :D

The only other thing you're gonna need is a shot of courage and a steady hand when you go to put that big hole in your truck :D :D

BTW, I liked the sound so much after installing my Psychotty, that I briefly considered drilling another 4. 5" hole throught the other side of the cowling into the cab.....

Thanks guys

Thanks you guys for the quick response. I went ahead and emailed Vaman the info for shipping. I guess I took him cause he was first. But thanks to you to emddiesel and to all the rest of the awesome people at TDR. When I'm done with it I'll send it back or to the next person that needs it depending on what Vaman wants me to do with it. Later. Dwyane:D :D :D :D

The trick to getting the hole exactly where you want it is to unscrew the arbor from the saw, place the saw where you want it then screw the arbor back in, the 1/4" bit will make a mark in the center for you to drill. I've found it best to drill the 1/4" hole first without the saw, if you try to do both the pilot and saw at the same time when the pilot pops though the saw will hit too fast and bind. If your drill is strong enough it almost twist your hand off, this goes for all hole sawing. You'll really like your Phscotty, it's probably the single best mod I've done to my trucks.

I would also like to use one of the hole saws (again). If anyone has one I could borrow or pass on, please just leave me a message or e-mail me and I'll send my address. Thanks in advance.

Anybody looking for the big hole saws, I just got a 6" one at my local Home Depot to cut the hole in the bed for my stacks. They have 4, 4. 5, 5. 5. 5, 6 and up hole saws now in stock. The sizes are becoming more and more popular.

Back when I was an electrician, we used the BIG hole saws on a daily babsis just about. We'd use them mostly when installing recessed cans in completed cieilings. The older houses were a little more tricky, as the plaster and lath is so brittle. The solution was to use the abrasive type hole saws... They would cut is slower, and more accurately--plus, the hole they would cut is much better than a 4/6 tooth hole saw.

One note, don't use full speed when drilling the big holes... If it binds, and your drill has no clutch, your arm will get torqued pretty good. I had a few instances where I was really glad my big B&D drill had a clutch! Be carfeful!!! :D

Not at Home Depots in Houston, TX. I went there first - both of the ones I went to only had up to 4 1/4". Tried Sears - 3" was the largest at one, and 4" at another. Very frustrating!

EMDDIESEL is loaning me his, though, so I'll have it done very soon. Thanks again.

Hey TXRam, the hole saw went out Priority mail today. Pass it on to whoever needs it next. We should all sign it as it gets passed around!. Then we can sell it on Ebay as a colectors item

Question

Where is a good place to buy an RE-0880, with a descent price? What are the prices , and would I need the foam cover? Any info would be great !:p

www.summitracing.com has the best prices i have found. If you are using a Psychotty (Pre filter wont fit with the Psychotty) , or dont drive in really dusty conditions you dont need the prefilter. Its mainly added protection for people who are very dusty areas where the K&N by itself would get dirty too fast.

I used one of my wife's old pantyhose (use one of the legs stretched over the K&N). This help keeps the big stuff - leaves, bugs, etc. - from getting sucked into the pleats.

EMD - Thanks! I'll let you know after I'm finished with it (this weekend hopefully :D ).
