Will never order from Diesel Power Products again, placed an order for the cool blue hose and after a week still did not get the hose called them and they said oh. . they are on back order. Would have been nice to know that when I placed the order.

I just got rid of my AFE and went back to stock and I can't really tell the difference. When the AFE was a little plugged, if I set my edge juice to level 3 and stepped on it hard, the overhead console would chime in and say to service air filter. If I set it on level 5 even with a clean filter the service air filter would show up. That was with the AFE air box that has a hole out the bottom to a hole in the front to help get more air in the box. I changed back to the stock set up two days ago and I have played around with it and set the chip to level 5 and floored it and I don't get the service air filter warming. As far as I'm concerned and from what I've read here, the stock box is good to about 500 hp. I just bought some 4" black pvc pipe and some fittings today front home depot to do a similar thing that the PSM part does. Only I'm using a toilet flange to bolt to the bottom of the air box and solid pipe to go down and a 45 degree elbow at the bottom and I will make it so that it just sticks down below the bumper about a 1 1/2" or so facing forward so that at highway speeds it will actually catch some air and for sure create a possitive air pressure in the box. I also found that a 4" screw in cap also from Home depot fits into the top of the toilet flange hole just right, a little snug so that it can be used as a plug for the pipe in the winter as I don't want the snow in there and don't need the cold air either at that time. I did the same thing on my last truck and I kid you not, the egt's dropped by 80 to 100 degrees in the summer with it open and I had actually made an aluminum scoope that was 4" high by 10" wide and it was mounted fully under the bumper to catch alot of air. I never had water problems when driving in the rain. I may do that to this truck also when I have time this winter to do a little aluminum work.

I forgot to mention that on the 6. 7L the tube between the air box and turbo has a goofy contraption for reducing the sound from the turbo from coming back out, I loosened off the clamps and the sound filter slides out, there for now air flow restrictions. I like the whistling sound and the idling woofing sound.

While I was driving today, I turned her up to level 5 on the chip and gunned it as I passed two semi's and had her up to 155 kms/hr (96 mi/hr) and didn't get the service air filter warning. Went like a bat out of hell! I haven't done the cold air mod yet either. I'm not regreting going back to the stock air box. It's comforting to know that I have nothing to worry about for sure as far as clean air. Cummins/Fleetguard wouldn't play games with there filters for the sake of profitability.

Thanks for the Idea

Thank's for the Idea's was thinking about getting one but more time on my hand's I would just as soon build one thanks again for the info BIGNASTY

Mine has had the PSM intake mod, cool blue hose, TAG and the Amsoil EAA filter for 75K. Does a great job pulling my trailer. Lowered my EGT's by a decent range and seems to keep the filter minder from sucking down. The Amsoil is a well built filter. Seals well and the intake is clean. Scotty

I just drove today after doing the 4" pipe mod with a 45 degree elbow that hangs about 1. 5 " below the air dam and it is like I set the chip up one level and the egt drop really fast once I slow down to a point that when I stop, it is already almost at 410 degrees and can be shut off.
