Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) PTO Wire

Heard a rumor on another page that the PTO wire can possibly be used to get high idle but the function had to be enabled by the dealer using the DRB. Anybody know if it will work and where I can tell the tech to look for it in the computer?

I asked the other day and he knew nothing about it. What a surprise.

Cheap High Idle, OEM feature?



I think the idle that you are thinking about is the reflash that raises the engine idle and drops three cylinders if a group of conditions are met.

I have already done tsb 1801901 for the cold weather warm up. Im looking be able to high idle at will. I saw the thread about the PTO option but it doesnt seem that anyone has found the real answer. It works for a lucky few but not many.
