Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Pulsing under load?

My engine goes nice and strong and pulls hard, but I noticed that when towing my 10k pound trailer when I hit about 2k rpm it would send this sort of pulsation through the truck.



Is this normal? I got used to it after the first 12 hrs but I figured I'd ask.

The linkage spring/s on the side of the pump are getting weak. On mine, there are 2 springs, side by side.



They made a linkage kit, but after a bit, mine's doing it again. Simply strapping a spring in parallel with the existing knocks it down.



At least 1 of the members here found springs @ one of the auto parts outlets that can replace the stock springs.
