I've been running one for a few months and have had no trouble with it. I think that a lot people were getting scared of turning the screw too deep and shorting the pump out but if you just take your time I don't think you'll have a problem.
that is the main reason for not using the cover=turning the screw in too tight and cracking the circuit board, and keeping the screw tight. Glad that you have had good luck!

The 1st series of pump covers had this issue. The latest version ( mine is over a year old and is the latest version) has this problem resolved on it. Crank away!
