Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Pump timing...Where & how much?

My 97 has 160k on it now & timing has never been checked. I've done the usual stuff, the #8 plate slid a bit, 3K GSK, 215 injectors, etc. & it runs like a wild animal. But, I think I'd like to at least have the timing checked, & if necessary bumped a little to between 15 & 15 1/2. My CPL is 2174 and factory setting is supposed to be 14. I don't think there are any truck or deisel shops in my imediate area (Lawrence, KS) but there are at least two farm tractor dealerships that sell & repair equipment with pretty much the same Cummins engine. If one of these shops would have the tools & the know how, & were willing to mess with it, what should one expect to pay to have it timed?

I payed $50 to have mine set. The tools to do it cost $196 from snap on.
