On a recent trip to Fla. and other points south, just out of curiosity I disconnected the pump-tap wire from the Banks Ottomind. I was running with just injectors and my DD TTPM. I found that this combination made the truck run much smoother. When I started getting back out West, I had to hook the wire back up as I needed the extra power for the mountains. I was thinking about cutting the tap wire and inserting a dash-mounted switch so I wouldn't have to manually connect and disconnect this wire. Does anyone know why this might NOT be a good idea?
