My '03 now has 70k miles on it & reading about lift pump failures has me a little concerned about road trips, of which I do a fair amount. I'm planning a trip to Lubbock, Tx in March from Atlanta & don't want to sit on the side of the road somewhere.
You guys that have installed FASS systems or just plain pusher pumps, do you leave the stock lift pump in line? If the lift pump does fail, can the pusher pump still deliver adequate fuel through a dead lift pump?
I am thinking of installing a Holley pusher pump. Any comments?
Thanks.
