I going to put my new sirius PNP3 in my truck today and was wondering if anybody has hard wired the power in. I talked to one of the guys at BestBuy and he said they wire it to the radio for power. Has anybody done this. Which wires do you use on the wire harness? Any help would be appreciated.

Dedrick go to logjamelectronics.com they have a module that plugs in to the extra port behind the radio for the sirius sat. I think this is the best way to do this if you want quality sound out of your system.

And i dont know if you already have it mounted but pro-fit-intl.com has the best bracket ive seen to mount in our trucks. if you want pics of my install let me know.

I have a aux interface by USA SPEC and I all so have a pro-fit bracket. I was wanting to hard wire the power and not use the dc power adapter in one of the outlets. Did you hard wire the power? I would like to see some pics.

If you want some 12V + switched power, I tapped into the cigarette lighter wiring near the connector end, behind the bezel where it connects to the actual lighter itself. Be sure to add an inline mini-fuse holder (my Sirius Sportster SP-TK1 had a 3A or 3. 5A fuse in the cigarette lighter plug) if there's one in your cigarette lighter plug. May as well use the existing ground at the lighter, too.

The wire under the right side vent is for a passenger side airbag switch... . can be used on the 4 doors, but is already equipped with a switch for the two door trucks (all the dashboards are the same whether it's a two door or four door, obviously).
